This is a special experience of connecting with Bali’s cultural heritage, allowing people to feel the unbreakable bond between humans, nature, and time,” — note the project creators.
SERIES OF CULTURAL EVENTS
The “Bayan Tree Night Journey” project is a continuation of Suka Studio’s series of successful multimedia
projects, each highlighting unique aspects of Bali’s culture and nature:
● Umbra Nuanu Nights — an immersive installation exploring the interaction of light and shadow in a
container space transformed into a surreal world of green lasers and moving spheres.
● Live as Art — a large-scale experiment in downtown Nuanu featuring a 16-meter projection frame and
holographic mesh, including real-time artificial intelligence integration and multicultural musical
accompaniment.
● Suara Festival 2023 and 2024 — Indonesia’s leading multicultural event, where Suka Studio created
innovative stage solutions with projection mapping, lighting, and integration with the environment,
including the famous Kriya stage featured on the cover of Vogue Singapore.
● Bringing Light to Kutri Village — a project highlighting the striking architecture of Kutri village
through light installations.
● The Living Tree — a lighting composition that brought to life the sacred ancient tree in Nusa Dua.
With the help of 64 LED lights, the majesty of the tree’s branches and roots was highlighted,
transforming it into an active participant in traditional Balinese performance, including the Kecak
dance.
● The Crystal at Luna Nuanu — an interactive installation at Luna restaurant featuring a one-ton
natural quartz crystal. This light and sound installation brought the crystal to life, allowing visitors to
transmit their wishes into the cosmos through touch, witnessing transformations of color and light
throughout the surrounding space.
ACCESSIBLE TO ALL
The installation will be open to the public. Daily evening sessions will provide each visitor with the opportunity to become part of this unique experience, while special events and extended performances will allow for a deeper immersion into the world of Balinese culture.
